The Lirio del Valle Foundation, is a non-profit organization created in 2009 and legally registered in the register of companies with the RNC 430104337 in Dominican Republic.
It is an entity associated with
Amics de Villa Caoba with NIF G-65329591 of Spain, registered in the Generalitat of Catalonia in June 2010, which allocates its funds to the sponsorship and schooling of the children of Villa Caoba, as well as providing sponsors, technical assistance and volunteers to the Foundation.
It is declared of public interest on July 7, 2014 and allows donors to make deductions from donations in the income statement according to Article 16 of Law 49/2002.

Currently, both entities are chaired by Anna Mª Plà Pujal, Spanish resident in Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona). These entities have the support of collaborators, volunteers and sponsors in Spain and in the Dominican Republic.
Fundación Lirio del Valle has 110 children from the neighborhood of Villa Caoba, a neighborhood in need of La Romana in the Dominican Republic.
Our main objective is to educate and feed them, and thus be able to contribute to their correct physical and intellectual development.

All the funds raised by both the Lirio del Valle Foundation and the Amics de Villa Caoba Association through contributions from sponsors, voluntary donations, as well as through charity meals, auctions, concerts, ... are entirely dedicated (by acting all non-profit volunteers) to the schooling of children and various activities, both educational and recreational, aimed at enhancing their skills.
We need people with a good heart to make these children fulfill their dream, the dream of having a better life.

Villa Caoba - What do we do
- Every Saturday we serve our 110 children with activities, games and a meal.
- We have educated the 110 children that make up the Lirio del Valle Foundation.
- We currently have 65 sponsored children (we need more sponsors).
- We have delivered clothing and food to the families of the children.
- We try to educate them in personal hygiene, teaching them to wash their hands, teeth ...
- We teach them to sing, play and have an order so that they can better face tomorrow.
- We teach them moral and ethical values such as sharing, respect towards others or friendship so that they can develop socially and opt for a better future.
- Punctually, deworming campaigns, dental hygiene, and eye exam are carried out, all with volunteer doctors.
- We teach values classes about education, literacy and hygiene to mothers.
- Many Saturdays, volunteers come to visit, help and collaborate on meals and activities.
- Visits by Spanish volunteers are coordinated.
